I hadn’t planned on buying a Subaru Leone, but when I saw it and saw how good it looked, I really had to! It’s a freaking time capsule of a car nobody really care about normally and I really love it! If anyone wants it, it’s for sale ($4000, shipping from Japan included)... No idea if I’ll be able to sell it, but it just looked too good to pass on it haha

I’ll have nicer pictures and video of it tomorrow :)

It at least has held up better than Sierra Leone.

I remember using a turbo one as a paddock basher many many years ago. Great car but you could hear it rusting on a quiet morning.

It went to a friend who put the motor into a sportswagon.

4WD or (I assume) 2WD? Turbo (probably not)? Mileage?

The right one of these in mint condition would be an easy flip for a small profit in Seattle.

2WD and non-turbo :)

I have nooo idea why someone kept it like this in such perfect condition. Mileage is around 90000 miles if I recall correctly...

Puzzling, it has not one single thing going for it.

You need that to get all 87 gross horse power out of it with a (I would guess) 1.6L.

Of course :)

I bet this was grandma and grandpa’s baby, and they stopped driving, or something to that effect. Shame about the lack of features, but it probably would have been hooned to death 15 years ago if it was a fancy model.

I love that old Subaru dash/instrument cluster. Great late ‘70s/early ‘80s futurist vibe.

I designed and built a lift kit for these Subaru’s! Here in the US they’re called Loyales. I’ll dig up the pics and post em...

Your own design?? Damn... You should get authorship on Oppo, I’m sure people are interested by it...

Ask for it here: http://oppositelock.kinja.com/authorship-requests-1674528371

I’ll send you pics and video of the Leone... It’s in absolute perfect condition and I can sell it for stupid cheap ;) (like a special “returning customer” kind of deal haha)

70000km on the clock only.

Just realized I forgot to post em. Sorry for potato quality, I think I had like $3 to my name at the time. I sometimes wonder if the car still exists- I traded it to a girl for a case of beer and a Playstation 2
