I have a bad habit of not checking my email unless I’m expecting something. My concern is that I’ll forget and the results will just get lost forever in the avalanche of credit card offers and Amazon seller rating requests that is my inbox.

Several few years ago, I broke away from Hotmail and joined gmail (back when it was by invitation only...you could actually get yourname@gmail.com !!). Hotmail is still my legacy Junkmail box and Gmail is personal and important. Daily email volume is about 100 in one, 10 in the other. I threaten any family member who lists my gmail to any outside parties...

Since google went to the tabbed inbox, I really haven’t been worried about gmail spam. Stuff anywhere other than my personal inbox mostly gets ignored unless I look for it specifically.
