Possibly the cleanest and best condition Astro Van I have ever seen, and one of the few Astro RS I have encountered.

Nice! I had a neighbor for years who had a dark red Astro RS. I always dug the look of that van.

Its pretty cool. I dont know why I’ve always had a soft spot for the Astro and seeing this RS was cool. I got a peek inside and it looks to have been well maintained by the old man that got out of it.

The Astro is great because it’s big enough to haul lots of stuff, while being small enough to park nearly anywhere. They also look pretty good IMO. I particularly love the later dutch door ones.

And being tough as hell. It was one of the few vans that was truck based.

Yep. S-series platform FTW!

Theres little to no S/T chassis under these actually. Unibody with front and rear subframes and a front suspension mostly pulled from the B-Bodies. Driveline has lots of S/T DNA though.

Fuck early M-vans so much. 96+ with a half acceptable interior and not horribly underpowered 4.3 are good though.
Source: suffered through a 94 Safari EXT with low output 4.3.

I had an 88 S10 with the no... err... low output 4.3. Even with a throttle body spacer, headers and performance exhaust it really didn’t matter. It sounded nice at least.
