This is why we can't have nice things.

Yesterday I had a stroke of inspiration that resulted in...uh... innovation. Me to my roommate: “For hundreds of years, women have stereotyped as ‘cleaners’. I think I’ve discovered why - men do weird things - introducing the Super Scrubber 9000!”

Kinja'd!!!

The Super Scrubber HD 100000 Plus Black Edition will soon be available with a supercharged V8.

It’s not a job unless there’s some way to complete it using power tools.

Go for it. Total cost on this was ~$4.

It got my roommate interested in cleaning her bathroom. Which is a miracle unto itself.

If you have really, really stubborn soap scum or iron buildup on tile, a scotchbrite wheel in a drill works wonders. Ask me how I know...

Looks like my version of the cooktop scrubber. I used a Velcro pad on my drill to stick a kitchen towel to. Add cleanser and pull the trigger. Works great. Yours is a more multi-purpose tool though. Nicely done. Now all you need is a bottle brush attachment for those tough to clean glasses and such.

Used a Cable Porter 2700 rpm drill with whisk to make some scrambled eggs this past weekend. They were properly beat.

Hey that’s a great hack!

Mine gets in some tough corners, which is great. You make we wonder if I could could use my DA Orbital Polisher and a velcro pad on my cooktop...

I may or may not have done a very similar thing yesterday for my daughter that involved a straw with little fins on it and chocolate milk mix.

For hundreds of years, women have stereotyped as ‘cleaners’

As someone who has lived with lots of women and now has two daughters, there couldn’t be a more incorrect stereotype. I think it’s more that for hundreds of years women have been forced into roles of servitude.

Dude that little power scrubber looks awesome. My rig was $4 though ;)

My first thought about your rig was using it with water. I’d end up filling my drill and electrocuting myself. I’m clumsy that way.

I’m guilty of using stove top scrubbing pads mounted on a Mouse to put some power scrubbing on glass.

Ha! That reminds me of the time I put a brillo pad on my sander, I wanted to get the shower in my college apartment as clean as possible to surrender as little bit of my security deposit as possible. It worked quite well!

You can use the da, but not necessary. One of the HF small Velcro wheel chucked in the drill will work on many surfaces. I used to hate scrubbing the cooktop, hence my revised method.
