There’s a house near me with two Flexes in the driveway, and sometimes I think about maybe a Flex EcoBoost would be fun to have. But yesterday I was driving with my wife when a Flex crossed our path and she specifically went out of her way to comment that she thinks the Flex looks stupid. She hardly ever comments on random cars on the road. The best I could say in response was, “it’s like a giant Mini Cooper.”

when i was 7 passenger CUV shopping the FLEX was my first choice, but the wife wanted nothing to do with it because of the looks.

It’s like a modern beach wagon. And we did score the bonus points for it being a wagon! It’s not fun to drive in a sports car kind of way, but it moves itself around much better than you’d expect a car of that type to. I still enjoyed the twisties on the way from Bridgeport to Lime Rock across western CT.

I instantly went north, expecting 95 and the coast to be a parking lot on a holiday weekend. that was a big mistake. good strategy knocking out those ones close together.

nice writeups! I’m still working on mine. You do know team OldBuicks was not actually driving a Lexus hybrid SUV - it was just our mascot (given to me by Oppo at another meetup). We were driving an old Buick (appropriately)!
