Kinja'd!!!

Because I have room to park this out back. I doubt I could afford the antibiotics I’d need after working on it though.

I see what the seller is getting at with replacing the 318 and TorqFlite with a Cummins, but who doesn’t want an RV that sounds like this?

Oh, I know I want it, and it’ll give me a place to sleep when my wife kicks me out for buying it. Much easier to sleep in that than some projects I’ve looked at!

Plus, can you imagine driving a class A motorhome with a 60's era 318? You’d get passed going uphill by kids that still have training wheels on their bikes.

That is magnificent. And yeah, probably needs bio-hazard warnings.

Seriously - my friend’s dad growing up had a 1 ton Dodge Van/camper with a 360 and that thing was not awful, but really struggled with hills. It’s all about gearing - give it enough gear to move this much mass with a 318 and it will go, but all topped out about 55-60 MPH. Not made for highway cruising...

Yeah, proper gearing on something like this would be extremely important. One remedy if someone for some reason wanted to keep the original engine for some reason would be an overdrive unit from someone like Gearvendors. Honestly, in a money is no object situation a stronger motor, the overdrive, and a change of rear gears to match would do wonders for this thing.
