Took a 40 min spin on the Vespa, enough to get to just the outskirts of town. Pretty day, and I stopped by this irrigation canal.
These canals claim lives every year - kids trying to cool off and homeless trying to bathe.
Th rivers are running hard with snowmelt, and there have been several drownings, including a senior at my son’s high school.
Please be careful around water.

Damn, that’s area looks dry. It looks like a nice relaxing place to ride. I’m tempted to ride our central canal all the way through Phoenix at like 1am.
Last year in Maricopa county we had three drowning in canals. Pretty crazy considering we have a population of close to 4 million.

What size motor and what’s a comfortable cruising speed for your Vespa? Your posts have got me checking out craigslist pretty frequently but every road leaving my immediate neighborhood is 45+mph. It seems like such a fun and relatively cheap my to add some another Italian vehicle in my life.
