Kinja'd!!!

The driver’s side power window on my 85 4Runner wouldn’t go down, so I figure it’s either the regulator or the motor. Or both. I’ve got it down to bare bones, just need to pull the regulator motor assembly out and I can’t get the damn thing disconnected.

There’s some sort of clip on the plug but it’s not budging. I’m afraid to get too vigorous and break it. Any ideas?

Is there something to push in to release it.

There does not appear to be. The service manual doesn’t go into detail on disconnecting this, and the internet doesn’t seem to have much for T4R’s of this vintage with power windows.

Damn. The tab had to be pulled up not pushed down. I finally got it. Thanks for checking in anyway.
