So by now I assume a lot of people have seen this, the new Sweptail, but the cool story is the other cars that this owner owns which includes one of those tailor made one-of-one Ferraris F12 TRS and one of the only 991 GT3 LMGTE RS LETTERS that ever left the factory. BUT THAT’S NOT THE COOL PART OF THIS STORY.
This is his GT3 road car that he converted to a Cup spec.
But yesterday, while I was looking at the Sotheby lots (That 911 RSR that sold for $2.1 Million.) But I came across the P1 GTR and I noticed that I said “1 of 58 P1 GTRs produced. 1 of 27 converted to road use.”
That’s right. Almost half of the world’s P1 GTRs have been converted to legal road use at what I assume is a LUDICROUS amount of money. Without a thought this is what I’m gonna do if I ever get obscenely rich. I’m gonna use all the monies to get road cars to convert them to their race car conterparts or get racecars and convert them to road use.

I know of a guy who cleans a customer’s cars.
The customer has 250 cars, 66 are Rolls Royces and was on of the first to buy a Wraith in two tone colour his wife selected from her shoe collection.
If I ever get that rich, punch me and remind me how much my nation’s (Britain) debt is, so I can give 90% of my money into paying it off.

In contrast to Svend’s altruism, I would be the sort of rich person to convert the cheapest car from every manufacturer into a track car, then spend more money turning them street legal, then use them to run over poor people.

No he’s a British guy in his forties.
I think there’s a YouTube video somewhere of him ordering the car as the BBC were doing a programme at the time on Rolls Royce.
The car was a maroon/burgundy base (I don’t recall the top colour or whether they left it steel). It was a while ago now (2013).

This just adds fuel to my theory that mega-wealthy types are a bit divorced from reality. What possible (legitimate) reason could there be to own 250 cars? We all know what happened to the sultan of Brunei’s collection - his cars pretty much went to shit from sitting untouched for years.

If I get this rich, I want three things before anything else related to cars.
I want a collection of BMW Individual colored base 320is. Arctic Metallic, Barbera Red, Tasman Green, Vermillion Red, etc.
I also want to see just how much Rolls Royce is willing to do to a customer’s “bespoke” order. I already told my friends that I want to see if Rolls Royce will build a below base spec Ghost. I want SensaTec upholstery, BMW Satin Silver Matte trim, no iDrive, BMW anthracite cloth headliner, and halogen headlights if possible.
I also want a collection of relatively mediocre cars.
Nissan Cube? Yes.
Mazda 2 Touring? More than 1 pls.
Mini Cooper 5-door hardtop? GIB.
Renault Twingo? *hon intensifies*
BMW X1? Much yes. Such wow.

But you know what? I would have loved the Sweptail even more if it was a Porsche Syder-ish convertible with a tent-like top. This is so that the trunk can be designed like a boat. The trunk is actually a tailgate. You can hop aboard from the rear “deck” and sit in one of the two the rear seats. And of course, the front seats have suicide doors.
I think that would make this a cool land-yatch, quite literally :D
