At 4:09, who’s the bigger asshat? I say the guy with the camera, being an impatient horn-holding ass.

They’re both cunts. But the recorder purposely sped up just so he’d have a reason to beep, so he’s a big cunt. But the other guy got out and made it into a confrontation, so he’s also a big cunt.

Basically, these two are both cunts and they deserve each other and they should form a club for cunts with themselves as the founding cunts, because they’re cunts.

TL;DR: they’re both dipshits.

definitely the guy pulling out. that wasn’t that long of a honk. plus the guy immediately jumped out of his car and asked if he wanted to fight. didn’t even pull back in.

I’d say its about even. The guy with the camera rudely honked for longer than necessary when a shorter ‘honk honk’ would have sufficed.

Having said that, the person in the SUV backing out should be looking before backing out. Of course it would be easier if he didn’t have that fucking stupid-dark tint on the back windows.

The horn honking was needlessly rude, but not so rude that it warranted getting out of the vehicle like that.

Hard to say without defining appropriate “parking lot speed”. (10? 15? 20?) The camera-car’s speed was probably ok, but I don’t think I’d go any faster than that.

If judgement is based on right-of-way , I’d have to agree with the driver of the camera-car (unless he was indeed driving too fast). But if judgement is based on seeing another car in motion and yielding for safety’s sake ... well, that actually cuts both ways, so I can’t really side with the bearded man here. He had plenty of visibility to see the camera-car approaching.

I can’t tell if he sped up because he saw the other guy’s reverse lights, or if it was just a reflex from clearing the speed bump. I know that I sometimes goose it a little to get back up to my previous speed after going over those bumps.

I think a lot of parking lot right of way is assumed. I’m sure he saw the guy coming, but figured he’d slow down and let him back out. Given the distance he may not have been REQUIRED to, per the law, but it would have been a nice gesture.

Honking as he did just exacerbated the situation.

Yeah, R.O.W doesn’t seem to be as strict in parking lots where some intersections don’t even have stop or yield signs. But it should at least feel natural for each driver to have a sense that each parking space is the equivalent of a “mini-driveway”, whereas the main aisle is the “mini-roadway”. If either party is going to be making assumptions, then those assumptions should always favor whomever has the R.O.W.

The horn did sound just a little longer than (I think) was appropriate. He let the other guy know that he was backing up into a hazardous situation, and that should have been the end of it. In fact, there was enough room for the camera-car to have gone ahead and proceeded as soon as he saw the other car stop in reaction to the horn. He didn’t necessarily have to wait for the other guy to pull all the way back into his parking space. This whole encounter took way took long, and it held up other traffic, too.

I dunno, the whole thing gave me the feeling of “This Will Be Good For YouTube Views” on the cammer’s part.

is that a cop SUV brake checking a civilian at the end?

Yeah, lol. Shouldn’t be hogging the left lane, and moving over for cops/faster traffic I guess.
