Bad high pressure switch causing the compressor to run too much?

“At the expansion valve or fixed orifice tube, depending on the system, liquid refrigerant instantly expands into a gas, forcing the temperature to drop. Moisture in the system can freeze at that point, blocking refrigerant flow through the valve, and you’ll notice you have warm air coming out of the vents.”

low refrigerant.

it sounds counter-intuitive, but when the refrigerant charge gets low, as it passes the expansion valve its pressure can drop even lower causing the evaporator to run too cold and ice up.

Did you test the pressure? If it’s low, it can behave strangely, running too much, which can over cool some parts.

Expansion valve is my guess.

Does it work for a bit then drop out? A bad expansion valve or blend door issue could ice the evaporator. The rear system has its own valve and evaporator.

My first guess, low R134a. Explains the freeze and the cold in one place and not the other. Usually it’s passenger side preference when low but your car could be rear bias.

Second, pretty much what TFritch said bit more so the expansion valve. Fits symptoms also

It can also happen if the refrigerant is too low or something is blocking air flow over the evaporator coil. Icing is common in home a/c units when the filter is seriously clogged and needs to be changed. I don’t know if an Odyssey has an in-cabin air filter or not. As others have said, it could be a blend door issue.
