I use Meguiars for almost everything car care related, no complaints at all. My buffing pads are just some cheap ones from Menards which didn’t appear to do any harm to the paint because they weren’t high end or whatever.

Same. I came up with a bit of a routine - hose down, then 2-bucket wash with plain water. Then cleaner wax, applied with a cheapo wax applicator pad from the auto parts store. Rub off with microfiber towells, and done.

Porter cable buffer, I forget the model, but it’s the basic one on auto geek. Lake county white foam pad for the klasse all in one polish/sealer. I use megs polishes, Med cut, fine cut, swirl remover and glaze, applied with same buffer and microfiber cutting pads, also autogeek. I’ll apply klasse sealant by hand. And follow with megs nxt paste wax applied with a black lake county foam pad. Megs claybar with either wash soap or whatever detail spray I have. Not in that order of course, but you get the idea. I use sams microfibers to wipe off and dry.

Mothers clay, mequiars M105/205 polishes, mequiars ultimate synthetic polymer wax, with a coat of carnuba on top of it for extra shine. Mequiars microfiber pads. You can’t mess up with this system, and it will work on any clearcoat. There’s more expensive stuff out there, but it’s not necessary unless you’re on the lawn at Pebble.

I like the pro line of meguiars stuff- comes in brown bottles, smells good.
PC7424 is the best starter ro polisher.
Clay doesn’t matter, just don’t drop it.

Yup that sounds about right. I’d go with a rupes if I were buying a kit today, but back when I got it, it was a good machine, still works great though.

Let’s face it, many people don’t have the time to polish and wax their cars every two or three months. I don’t own an electric polisher, but for the average guy who only waxes his car maybe once or twice a year this works excellent for me. Once a year I will use Simoniz Clay Magic detailing clay to clean the paint an then will use Nu Finish polish (its actually a paint sealer and contains no wax) for protection and an excellent shine. The Nu Finish protection will last for almost one year and more importantly, it is very easy to apply and buff off to a shine.I will occasionally put a layer of conventional Carnauba wax over the Nu Finish during the year to maintain the shine and protection of the paint. The results speak for themselves.
