Gauge Clusters. Post ‘em up here (in the comments not individual posts.)
The Silverado’s setup is nice. Big, easy to read faces and a full set of gauges, even trans temp if you scroll through the DIC. Glad I have an LT though because you lose the voltage and oil pressure gauge, as well as the silver surround in exchange for black plastic on WT and LS models.

Maximum lights!
Engine light and seatbelt lights illuminated to complete the package but aren’t on when running....and the brake light. ABS light in on intentionally (comes off when you lock the center diff as it turns off ABS)

That speedometer works OK in MPH but for KPH it’s utterly horrible. Anyway...

Cluster needs more oil pressure and voltage gauge. Kinda odd my S10 had them but it’s replacement doesn’t.

2 gauges, & screen in the middle for the info. Engine temp, & fuel level can’t be changed but the rest can. I have it set (top down): Odometer, fuel tank distance, temperature. Most of the warning lights are inside the tachometer.

could have slightly different clusters with a temp gauge as well! Mine
only has the temp idiot light :( )

Idiot Lights! Missing is the Seat Belt light flashing up and to the right of the Air Bag light! High Beam Light would be near the water temp light above the Fuel Gauge.

Yes. They are blue. Though not all cars got matching colors. Like the black cars got red gauges (awful I know).

1995 Mustang:
(I had it out to fix the odo gears). Nice layout, good assortment of gauges, and protected by a single, easy-to-clean lens.
1995 Sierra:
I like this one for all the same reasons listed for the Mustang, but I give it extra points for have finer markings between the round numbers. I also like that the secondary gauges have actual values mapped out instead of a vague “normal” zone.

This isn’t my car, as it is several hundred KM away form me, but it is identical.
I love the clarity and how easy it is to read and bring up the information you require (in the super pixelated center display. The only thing this gauge cluster does not tell you is your current speed.
Here is another similar one at night. I think it is one of the clearest dials to read at night.

The 6 and the CX-5 have the same cluster, which makes sense since they share platforms. This is the 6s.

For some reason I always thought the CX-5 was on the Mazda 3 platform.
I swear up until the newest generation of GM trucks the gauge clusters always had the same layout. Plus or minus a tach depending on application and trim.

While I love my silverados gauges, it bothers me when designers miss an easy cool gauge pack. There are two perfectly formed triangles on either side of the speedo and tach formed where the accessory gauges meet up with them. Why o why aren’t these the turn signal indicators?!?! The space is there, the shape is there but alas its just a black empty hole.

I think the 2.0 goes to 6750 still, but yeah, this doesn’t do much after 5750. It sounds nice at 7k though, and when I get around to getting a bigger turbo, it will be of use.

My guess is it’s more because the OG Colorado/Canyon weren’t exactly ground up GM... A lot of those things are Isuzu if memory serves right.

Related, but I thought they were developed side by side rather than straight-up rebadged. Though if you mean some stuff came from the Isuzu parts bin I can see that.
Also this thing has less equipment than a cave, so it’s not exactly a shock that they wouldn’t put in those gauges.

These are both demerits that I have noticed, but honestly the worst part is the 140 MPH speedo with number markings every 20. Nobody is ever going to go over 100 in this car. Just limit it to 95 and give it a 100 MPH speedo with indicators every 10. It probably can’t do much more than 100 with the motor/gearing it has anyway. I’ve gotten used to it, but it took me a few months.
