Kinja'd!!!

It is so much better than the Civic Sport I drove last month! Better interior, better clutch, better torque. OMG the torque! And it’s 2k CAN cheaper!

The only thing the Civic does better is the sound

HGNNGNN can’t wait for the hatch

I’ve been talking the Elantra Sport up as a good affordable not-quite competitor to the Focus ST, GTI, etc. Haven’t driven one yet though. How was the steering feel? That seems to be the one knock against them in reviews.

Well I don’t consider them competitors when the GTi is 5k more and the Focus is is 6k more. Even the Fiesta ST is 500$ more. (all CAN $).

Steering feel is good enough for me, better than any car I owned (not saying much)

I was super close to buying one of these but the better half said we better get something bigger. Seems like such a good budget fun car.

Yeah, we agree. My wording maybe wasn’t exactly on target. Basically it’s a “mild” hot hatch (in sedan form) when compared with the performance level of cars that are more in the hot hatch segment. But it’s also cheaper, and still a good step up in sportiness from a base model econobox. It’s kind of an in-betweener.

Yea, my wife had a Hyundai loaner when her Civic was in the shop. It was soooo much nicer than the Civic. I didn’t want her to give it back.
