I really liked his articles when he was with Jalopnik and still like the ones where he reviews interesting cars from readers. This whole deal of “suchandsuchmobile really is worth $287,234.89,” has just gotten to be annoying real quick. I understand that they’re basically advertising for the manufacturers more than anything at this point. I don’t even read/watch those anymore.

I watch them just to pick apart how inaccurate his info is, and how mundane these “quirks and features” really are.
I mean, its not like I’m watching NSX reviews 24/7, so I didn’t know about the door handles, or the toy cars, but the rest is just laughable.
I have no idea how his videos keep going viral and end up trending... I’m guessing AutoTrader is paying their way to the top of the YouTube charts.

I’m not terribly fond of shitting on people (mostly teenagers) who work a shitty job for minimum wage for the sake of “comedy.”
Although, Doug made me sort of uneasy ever since he was first driving that Aston in Philly. It reminded me so much of this time I was smoking in front of a club in Philly and witnessed this middle aged guy desperately and unsuccessfully try to coax two young, drunk, overweight women into his Bentley. Doug kind of gives off that same vibe.
