I’m already noticing Orb Weavers setting up shop outside my house. As long as they don’t decide to come inside, I’m good with them.

I keep getting them in the face in the mornings. They’re going crazy.

I love spiders and spider season.

Love Orb Weavers, every year I get one on my balcony that sets up shop. Keeps the mosquitoes out of my room!

I’ll gladly embrace spider season 100% as long as they recognize my house is off-limits.

Most spiders you see in your house were there long before you noticed them. House spiders are poorly suited for living outdoors, just as outdoor spiders really can’t live in your house.

Just remember that for every one you see there are probably at least a hundred more that you never see living throughout your house.

I’m in Indiana, and we have pretty tame spiders. I usually don’t bother them unless they enter my home. Yesterday, I saw a cute, white one walking across the kitchen ceiling. I walked over so that I was about a foot away from being under it. Then I called my wife over to me. Then I told her to look up.

It was worth it!

Should probably kill it just to be safe.

I have two black windows marking up my balcony with their webs. They’re catching bees! I better smash’m tonight.

You want Spiders around setting up shop. I’ve found they “handle” the other bugs and numerous other smaller things that I don’t want to mess with.

Plus, Spiders will only make webs in clean areas. So take it as a compliment if you have them.

Around here, the orb weavers like to hang out in cactus. Here was a particularly pretty one I found a couple of years ago:

Spiders, like snakes, won’t attack unless provoked, and most spiders won’t even attack you.

Tell that to the lady in my neighborhood that got bit by a copperhead yesterday...while walking her dog down the street of all places. It was in the grass right by the curb.

Spiders are always making a mess of my window sills.

They will help in the neverending battle vs these crazy super mosquitoes we’re having this year. Big silver bastards and bites looking more like from a deer fly.
