Harris. Fast cars should be driven fast and not be used as a platform to moan about how old and decrepit you are.

Here’s the thing: when Clarkson reviewed the Ferrari 458, he was doing it with so much vigor that I got worked up for the car. I was excited, enthused, I kept putting my yellow toy version up on screen so I can do the drifting motions, and I was sinply glued to the screen, intently listening to this old man lavish praise about the car I have in hand. He made the 458 look like the greatest car on the planet.

I didn’t feel that same intensity on his review of the Vulcan. It was intense, and his takes are on point, but it felt cynical. I guess it’s good to be jaded, and bringing such lofty, godly cars back down to earth does make a good measure of such a car’s worth (is this car still great even if no sane human can dare put up with this assault on the senses?), but he sounded muted.

Harris, however, got me super worked-up. He knew the car was spectacular in itself, so the only thing left to do was to show just how powerful and capable the car is. His review reflected what the car was meant to be, and the long final shot showed it well.

Man that 458 review was spectacular but like May said they’re getting old and to be honest I’m surprised Clarkson is still going at it but then again I’m don’t know how motivating millions of Amazon dollars are.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. It is like when Clarkson reviewed the F12. It was amazing and I was so into it! Or the CLK63 AMG Black, which I think was the best review he has ever done, had the perfect tone and angle towards having an amazing car and just going for a drive.
