As a graduation/ new career present to myself, I picked up this 41mm “Bond” Seamaster Pro Automatic on eBay. Reference number 2531.80, Serial Number 80xxx indicates production year of 2001. The watch is coming from Japan from seller closer0924. If anyone is looking for a used Swiss, they do a ton of business and have a nice selection. They do an excellent job of indicating the condition of their watches and provide a grading system/breakdown for the grade. The watch is in great shape for its age, yet (thankfully) appears unmolested. It has a nice patina which adds some character. The only downside is that the bracelet is sized for a tiny wrist and comes without additional links. That being said, the watch was priced accordingly as a result. It doesn’t bother me much though, as I was planning to put it on a leather band anyways. Heres to hoping it doesn’t get held up too long in customs. Pics below:

Discounted watches for small wrists are the best when you actually have tiny wrists. Same with discounts on wide shoes. Sometimes, life is okay.

Couldn’t agree more. They had another one in identical condition with a larger bracelet that was $75 more. The kicker was that one was ALSO too small for my wrist. It’s not like I have massive wrists or anything either, mine measure to be 7" exactly. It may just be the case that Americans have fatter wrists than Japanese, I dunno.

Very nice! The only watch I ever bought was a (new!) 10$ Casio a while back haha. I’ve been lurking at Breitlings for a while though... Need my money for other stuff now though...

Thanks! Totally hear wear you are coming from, watches are entirely a luxury purchase. My philosophy on them is similar to cars though. If you buy used, you can get a good enough deal to make an otherwise very expensive product fairly affordable. The bigger factor I take into account though is that watches stop depreciating at a point, and depending on the watch, can actually gain value. If you were to buy a ten/fifteen year old Breitling, you could always sell it for pretty much what you paid as long as you keep it in okay shape.

Wow, yeah that must be small. I always thought mine were super tiny at a little over 6 1/2".

6.5" is on the smaller side, but within the realm of average. This one is 6.3" which is really tiny.

I’m wearing my grandfather’s Omega Constellation watch from the early 1970's. Take care of it, and it’ll work forever.

Very nice. My Dad gave my his father’s 1970's Seamaster Aqua Terra Quartz when I was in high school, but unfortunately it was stolen when someone broke into my apartment last spring. I wasn’t able to replace it until now, but now I have a sort of spiritual successor to it.

I was just on Omega’s website looking at their new models. Now I have to save up $44k to get the one that I want.

Haha, I could think of a lot of ways I would rather spend $44k. They all have four wheels AND a clock to tell time with.

That’s a beaut! Do post when you have it in hand and let us know how you like it.

I have mistreated and abused my Hamilton Khaki, and have not serviced it since I bought it four years ago and it still keeps time. I’m sure if you treat your Omega nicely it’ll last forever.

The Grand Seiko I want is $33,000...although I’ll probably fold and pick up a GS in the next few years anyways, just not that one lol.

I’m not REALLY going to drop $44k on a watch (in the foreseeable future), but the gold Constellation with diamonds in the bezel is nice.
