‘98 base Malibu, less than 90K grandma-driven miles. Oh, and dealer serviced - one wreck (not her fault) but she loved the car and bought it back and fixed it. When she finally decides to give up the keys, someone will have themselves a great DD.

That is a special kind of unicorn because you have to consider the people (and fleets) who bought those, and how quickly so many of them were run into the ground. My granny just gave up her ‘89 Buick Park Avenue a year ago. 100-120 miles (odo/speedo were dead) and it was still running great except lots of random dry rot from lack of use....tires, hoses, etc.

Yeah - even though my sister gets it up to temperature once in a while, it’ll probably need at least part of the exhaust system sooner rather than later. Mom was in live-in occupational therapy for a while, so the car sat.

I sold one of these for my in-laws about five or six years ago now. The car was 12 years old and had 41k miles on it. I agree, it was a perfectly fine DD.

I did my drivers end in one of those. I’m certain they chose it for its exciting driving dynamics.

People talk crap about N-bodies but mine was rock solid. And the current owner still drives it. It has well over 200k on it now. Parts are dirt cheap, too, which is why I assume they kept it this long (I sold it in 2009).

Drove her up to Ohiopyle PA to see Fallimgwater and another Wright house in it - car was panting a bit up the steeper hills, but it got us there without incident.

I believe that, it’s very hilly in those parts.

I’ve been to Fallingwater and Kentuk Knob four times now. Last time I was there I proposed to my wife on one of the balconies of Fallingwater.
