You’re a brave man with that garage. I hope you have good tow coverage lol.

Phase II - door dings in the left front fender.

Seriously, I tried teaching my kids how to open doors without hitting my truck. SUV doors are just too unwieldy for little kids to open softly. I resorted to parking the truck on the lower part of the driveway so that the kids couldn’t hit it with the door. The truck still has dings. :/

Incredible, huh.

Actually, the Fiat has been mostly trouble-free for 35k miles, touch wood. It has had a few minor issues like an overly sensitive ESC calibration that apparently cannot be fixed. Hoping that new tires will get rid of the unwanted triggering on certain turns (here in dry and warm CA, there is no reason for ESC to trigger in normal driving).

They are parked far enough to swing the 500L’s doors all the way open ;)

That’s what I thought. That’s also what I did with my truck. My wife took the extra space to park her Explorer further away from the other side of the driveway, putting the doors once again in reach of the side of my truck. I should have installed bollards down the center of the driveway.

lol.

Now that I’ve gotten enough baby crap out of the garage, I need to figure out a way to keep my wife’s shopping stuff and our kid in general from brushing against the Fezza. Bollards or cones could be an idea, there’s already a bollard to guard the water heater!

The in-laws are coming this week, and we have an agreement to have them board/exit the car outside the garage.

If I had room to park in the garage, I would seriously consider a Door Pal (or make one of my own).
