The Ozark National Forest area might be the best place to drive in America. Holy shit amounts of fun.

Kinja'd!!!

We learned a couple things about the TA:

1. The TA has better brakes than anyone expected (after one particularly hard run the Subie’s were smoking and the Miata’s were super soft)

2. Fat girl can dance (as long as you’re aware that once it gets going one way it’s gonna take a sec to change direction)

3. The shocks are beyond dead, I knew they were bad, but holy shit.

4. It can hang in there with the company below

10/10 would do again

(once I replace the shocks... and fix the new “ service engine soon” light issues)

Nobody can ever escape the check engine/“service engine soon” light.

Does look absolutely gorgeous out there though.

Looks epic, I’m also a member of the blown suspension and service engine soon light club. Coilovers are expensive but I’m pretty sure you can just reset a service light with a paperclip?

It’s gonna actually get diagnosed this week.. Replacing the shocks with a set of SLP Bilstiens isn’t too expensive, UMI coilovers would be expensive.

It really is gorgeous down there. I think the engine will need some general maintenance. I’m pretty sure the plugs have never been changed (110,000 miles).

NW Arkansas is definitely a “hidden gem” when it comes to driving roads. Some of the best in the country, but few really know about it.

I’ve been going spring & fall with a group of friends for about a decade.
