The day was not a total loss. The pool is looking good, and we cleaned up the backyard. My carport work area is clean, and I managed to replace the yellowed front blinkers and the cracked legshield trim on the Vespa.
I am having a well deserved beer and a little lunch, then my wife is taking me out to buy a tool box.

That light looks way better, nice. Took my scoot for its first “long distance” ride yesterday then back this morning. About 50 miles one way, got 85.5 MPG on the last tank. Definitely not powerful enough for those roads, though, poor little thing was struggling to maintain 40 up some of the grades. I love the scoot for the city, but now I’m definitely wishing I had something bigger (even a 250, but the BMW g310, Ducati Sixty2 Scrambler, and Duke 390 look realllly nice for the 400 and under category) for extra-urban activities.
