That Chevy wifi ad is a heap of BS. It’s nothing more than one of these hard wired into the vehicle. Then they make you pay for the data plan.

Well, they have wifi in cars and some infotainment systems have near smartphone capabilities. If they can’t just make it like my iPad and make it able to make calls that is sad.

My car is all set up for one (steering wheel buttons, mic overhead, all the wiring is done) but the phone was never actually optioned.

Never. Cars last longer than phones and aren’t replaced as often. Plus folks may switch car brands, but not as many switch from phone OS to another.

What do you mean how long? Cars have been coming with 4g wifi for some time. They aren’t going to supply the phones but this is the “car phone” of our day.
