As some of you may know, I’m in the process of buying my first ever used car, a convertible. What I need now is a recommendation for a good mechanic to do the presale inspection for me. The mechanics I know best is my Mazda dealer, which I could use, but they are waaaaay across town in Mesquite.
Dallas Oppo recommendations?

Though I am not from Dallas, nor have ever lived there, my S600 is. I used a company called Auto Critic based in Dallas and I have nothing but good things to say. They did a great job on a terrifically hard car to assess the true condition of and were thorough enough that I bought and shipped it sight unseen fairly comfortably.

Have not used personally, but a good friend who sells used cars uses M.M. Auto Repair on Oradell Lane in Dallas — before my ‘66 got crunched, that’s who I was going to use.

I forgot you were looking at Jags. When scouting a place to use after the warranty on mine runs out, I received a recommendation for Jag Mac. Again, I haven’t used them so no personal experience. Their shop is located next to Gas Monkey, but I wouldn’t hold that against them since they were there long before Gas Monkey showed up.
