I approve. I want a Camaro so bad... my question is, do I get my childhood dream car of a 3rd Gen IROC or a current one?

do you want it to be fast or do you want visibility?

Yes!

In fantasy land I have a garage, buy a 3rd gen, and do an LS swap, and some chassis and suspension work, and have the best of all worlds.

Get a current gen and let your dream stay a dream. Don’t ruin it.

Like all good Oppos, I cant decide on cars and have trouble rationally balancing needs and wants. If, god forbid, something happened to the Cruze I’d replace it with either a Camaro or something like a Subaru Forester. The Camaro is pure want and I can live with most of the time. But I also like to go camping and I coach a junior rifle team at a local range and need to be able to haul competition rifles around, hence the small SUV. The struggle is real.

Actually my dream plan is buy a house, keep the Cruze running as my daily, buy a beater truck for shooting and camping and household chores, and get the IROC to tinker on. Maybe one day...

That depends on the size of your mullet.
