Even though I said I was going to break myself of shopping at the Goodwill Outlet, it was just too convenient for me to stop by since it was right in between work and Ikea, my source for a decent cheap meal.

Even though I put back or gave away many items (iPad keyboard, 720p TV, a couple of 22" monitors) I still walked out with this crap:

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Also included were a dozen sticks of fancy 2GB DDR2 RAM, a couple of CDs and a few cables, but those things are not terribly photogenic.

And the aforementioned dinner:

Kinja'd!!!

A reasonable amount of reasonable food at a reasonable price. Too many restaurants have ridiculously oversized portions and I’d just rather avoid that.

Did you know Goodwill runs an eBay-like auction site using their nationwide store inventory?

I didn’t know about that site - thanks!

I have purchased a few items from their eBay auctions, but they charge outrageous amounts for shipping.

I like the outlet for the stuff that’s slightly broken or less than pretty. I can get knobs for the Grundig, and I can live with a dent or scratch here and there if the price is right. My favorite was the Macbook Pro. It was beat up and ugly, but a few parts sourced online got me a $400 machine for less than $50 total, and I saved it from the landfill.
