I’m desperately in need of a wider front wheel for my vx220 as 5.5 inch is too narrow, the main issue I’m having is that it’s such a odd fitment that there is almost no wheel that I can find to fit that I want (only one set I can find is team dynamic 1.2 (multi spoke) and they are not my cup of tea

The wheel spec required is Front: 17x7 et20 Rear 17x8 et 30 5x110 pcd

would prefer 5 spoke but let me know your suggestions

You’re not gonna find a lot of wheels in 5x110. Same thing I have on my Cobalt.

Enkei carries some nice wheels in our pattern. Some manufacturers let you get wheels custom drilled.

any ideas which companies can supply blanks? I can only find those mesh style wheels in blanks which I don’t want just because they are a pain to keep clean lol

Compomotive and 1552 will do relatively inexpensive wheels in almost any spec. They aren’t the lightest wheels unless you pay all the money for their forged options, but they are very strong.

I think Team Dynamics will do custom fitments as well IIRC

edit: you are in the UK so Compomotive and Team Dynamics would definitely be a good place to start

the only team dynamics that have the correct fitment are those 1.2s which are fairly ugly imho but I’ll check out compo and 1552 thanks

The 1.2s look good on certain cars... probably not the VX200 though. I think they will do custom offset, width, diameter etc. though.(I honestly can’t remember)

no pcd cut into it so you can drill whichever pcd you want

No idea. Don’t think most manufacturers would take the chance of someone ruining their highly engineered product.

From my quick googling of things with the Elise it seems as if people do 16x7 front and 17x8 rear rather than 17s in the front. I’m assuming the VX220 is similar in the wheels it takes. Wheels people mentioned are Enkei RPF1, Rota Torque, Volk TE37.

I was hoping not to go to 16x7 as the arch gap changes slightly and looks a bit odd but I think I might be stuck with having to go that route

Work do custom PCD on their wheels, afaik. I think Driftworks offers them in the UK.

For the one-piece wheels? I remember the three-piece being horrendously expensive, but I thought the one-piece were similar to my OZs (£800-1000).

Alternatively, Compomotive and other racing wheel manufacturers might have something on offer?

I’d be quite surprised if Enkei doesn’t make the RPF1 in a fitment that would suit you. It’s pretty much the default choice for a lightweight, good looking (imo) wheel upgrade.

Yeah even the 1 piece wheels were about that price

thanks, I think I’m going to have to drop to 16x7 which I was hoping not to do but seems inevitable

Welcome to the 16F - 17R club in that case! I hope it’ll be easier for you to find matching tyres (my choice was limited to Pirelli Nero GTs and Hankook Ventus).

I think I’ll be going Advan V105s, had them on my BRZ and they worked well
