Slight correction on the smart, all three generations of the fortwo use a De Dion, as well as current generation of the forfour. That also means that the current generation of the Renault Twingo also has a De Dion since they’re functionally the same car.

Interesting - how is it different than a traditional rear beam axle set up? Just the additional front linkage? (And I didn’t know Honda made a 4wd Fit - that’d make a great little snow car.)
