The 1M is a strange and special car; I respect it for what it is but I’ve never really lusted after it.
Hopefully my M3 will last me another 50 or 100k miles, but if it doesn’t, the fact that Harris enjoys his time in an M2 so much makes me feel like I could be very happy in one of those.

The 1M is a strange animal. I test drove one. It had the go of my M3 in the body of my 128i; it was strange. I’ve always kinda had a thing for the 1er. I would love to have one. Would I rather one of the E90? I think I answered that in 2014.

It was an enjoyable video - the gym I used to go to had a white 1M parked at the furthest point in the lot and I love the body proportions. The wide fenders and tires do it for me - I can only imagine that it’s a blast to drive.
I’m glad the BBC are filming Chris Harris videos for YouTube - I’ve really enjoyed his reviews since his days on /DRIVE.
