I pulled it outside for more room to work. Now it’s running like crap, so I have some digging to do. Idles bad and is running eye-wateringly rich. No KOEO codes, I’ll dig in a bit this weekend. Fun never stops!

I love what you’ve done with the LX. What wheels are on your Nissan? My wife has a 2012 Pathfinder and it needs some new shoes soon. I like yours.

This is epic! If I had anywhere to use something like this I’d be surfing craigslist for a donor to build one myself. I love vehicles doing stuff they were never intended for.

I love it. Also, nice Wu-Tang decal there. I will admit I was skeptical, but this looks great.

Check the voltage on the MAF, and the TPS and finally the 02 sensors on the 5.0s these seem to be the general cause of ideal issues. Timing could be anothering worth checking but I imaging you didn’t change it since parking it.....I need to get my mustang out this weekend the snow might have stopped here.

You’re making me wish there had been a Fox Ranchero. Given that the Fox was all the things in the 80s that the semi-unnamed Falcon platform was in the ‘60s - underpinning for Mustang, compact family car, wagon, midsize (Fairlane)... I know it would have cut into the Ranger’s sales, but come on, man.

Dude that thing looks wicked! What kind of flares are those? I’m digging the whole look, down to the Wu-Tang sticker!

Those are the Level 8 MK6 from Discount Tire. Pretty cheap, and I love the look. Subaru truck!

Check the fuel regulator vacuum line.

Thanks! It might be getting Martini stripes to match the 68. I got the flares from http://www.zgfenderflares.com/ , I’m running their rear flares both front and back. I wish my rears were a little wider, but hey they work.

Thanks, I’m reading all the online guides and checklists. MAF, injectors, O2 sensors are all brand new. IAC and TPS are suspect, even though I did the TPS voltage checks when I first did the swap. I have the correct O2 harness / ECU combo (both auto). Hopefully there are some KOER codes to help me out. It could also be a vacuum leak, I’ll do some testing this weekend.

Will do! I’m running the stock FPR with all new lines and fuel pump.

I’ll bet you $.27 it’s either a broken FPR vacuum line or a ruptured FPR diaphragm. The ruptured diaphragm will definitely make it pig rich and run like poo.

Interesting! I figured that nobody makes Fox Body-specific flares so I was wondering what car the flares were made for. I think those rear flares look great. If you really want new rear flares, I bet with some trimming you could get a cheap set of 240sx flares to fit. I’ve always wanted to fit flares on an unlikely car, you’re giving me some ideas!

Yeah, these motors can be fun they have just enough 80s/90s tech to be a full PITA. I have a strange hesitation on light load (cruising uphill) at 2000rpms that only happens after warm starts. The car just hiccups if you add more throttle it goes or downshifts it goes away.
