Kinja'd!!!

It’s already hot and everything sucks and people are behaving like assholes and people are driving like assholes. My advice? Embrace the heat.

I’ve spent days in the desert without shade and lived in cities in stupid heatwaves, and the lesson that I’ve learned is to embrace it.

Just accept that you’re going to get covered in sweat, have to send your clothes to the dry cleaners, feel like shit, and be irritable.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

It’s such a lovely feeling when you reach the point where you just shuffle about and think “fuck it, nothing matters any more.”

Yeah, but that’s the wrong heat.

Barely hit 60 here. I wore my coat most of the morning. Yes I live in Oregon. Might hit 80 on Monday, maybe.

I’m in South Carolina for 3-4 months. I’ve never left Seattle prior to this trip. I went from 50 degrees and rainy to 90 degrees at humid. At least I’m not paying for electricity in my hotel room so the A/C is set to 60 and it’s never changing. I’ll put on a sweatshirt before I adjust it.

I’ve been drinking, so it took me about five minutes of staring to figure out what you meant. It made the payoff even better.

The part I didn’t mention was that it has rained almost a week straight. I’ve seen the actual sun for maybe 4 hours throughout that time. It will get in the 90's a few days in July/August, but Septembers and Junes are pretty great.
