This is not a bad beer. I prefer Gose to be saltier, but the melon and cucumber notes are pleasant and it’s refreshing for 91° weather. But drinking it makes me feel sick.
Living in New Jersey, I have to deal with these fucking invasive stink bugs:
And the thing is, they smell exactly like cucumbers if you accidentally crush one (you have to stun them and pick them up in a paper towel, then kill them), so drinking this beer does nothing but make me think of the smell of these fucking things.
Fuck these bugs.

I’m totally behind you. I hate beer snobs and I think it’s a tremendously boring pastime to adopt to try and be interesting. But... I don’t know. You drink it and there’s kind of a brief taste of cucumber. It’s not, like, cucumber infused. It’s just... there. Then it isn’t. How would you describe that?

I use the start and finish. As in
The coffee port I tried started smooth and finished with a coffee bitterness.
It’s not perfect but keeps ya from sounding like douche.
Btw that beer sounds great to me especially on a hot day.

whooeee - a seasalt Gose with cucumber/melon? That might be beyond my ability to appreciate... the nose on that must be pretty nasty. Agree on the stink bugs - we had them for the first time I can remember up here several years ago - but we had a fairly cold winter so I’m hoping they all froze...

ever since i graduated I can’t drink flavored beers anymore. My BiL bought all the beer for a barbecue 2 cases of grapefruit and something else. The rum was broken out early.
