Fiesta Mk1 facelift
Peugeot 104. These were always light but this one has added lightness by sacrificing the bottoms of the doors. Then again, it is forty years old and it must be sufficiently intact structurally to have passed its “contrôle technique”

Curiously my father owned both a 104 and a Uno (in Turbo i. e. guise) while my grandfather had a mk1 Fiesta. I have to conclude that France is my family’s automotive museum, I guess

That’s a good question. I was thinking of a dry climate but Brittany isn’t unusually dry.

I own a 1.6 petrol w/ manual and while I accept the fact that they’re objectively crap, I just cannot hate mine because of what it’s gone through with me. It’s also one of the very few small cars I can comfortably fit in without smashing my head into the roof.
