Kinja'd!!!

I’m going mountain biking in northern NH then to a brewery for lunch. Maybe boat ride with the kids because WTF it’s going to be 86 in mid May. Dinner with wife later. Good day I hope.

Post pics of ... cool old trucks, 911s, old BMWs, lowered Volvo wagons... things I like.

Cheers!

Sorry I’ve been off the interwebz for 2 days because a)birthday and b) it was 92 yesterday so we went boating.

I biked in an area called Parker Mountain (PRKR MTN) which isn’t well known but it’s a good network of old woods roads connecting a bunch of singletrack. I didn’t see another person in 3 hours. View back to the Presidentials, and of Cannon mountain... good stuff.

Thanks, that grille is amazing. More companies should do that with big trucks.

Yes, these are amazing. I also love that they’re still pretty much building the same thing. OK the end of the P3 XC70 line was kind of the end of the boxy Volvo wagon... but they still make a sweet turbo wagon.

Nice, thanks! There’s a surprisingly large amount of singletrack stuff near me, if you just know where to look. There are organized areas like Kingdom Trails (Burke, VT) but far more backwoods unmarked hidden gems, one of which is in my back yard quite literally; I ride it from home without going on any roads.

Is that your bike by the way? Slightly jealous except I love my full suspension Trek Fuel 29'er I got a couple years ago...

yessss I also enjoy Ferarris. I mean, I would enjoy one, if I had the chance. Where I live, I don’t even SEE one most of the time, maybe one a year?

Love me some 2002s... there’s a nice little blue one at a shop near me right now. My wife might actually kill me if I suggest getting a fifth car, though.

Thanks! Sorry for the delayed response, haha. I rode Parker Mountain (PRKR MTN) up in Littleton, NH. Good singletrack connected by a big network of old woods roads. A little rough (technical) on the single track, but that’s what I’m used to around here anyway. Tons of trails, I only hit about 1/4 of them in 3 hours.

Big disappointment, though, the brewery was closed when I got back to my car. Didn’t open till 3pm, had to pick up my kids by 3:30 and it’s an hour away. Bummer dude, otherwise good day though.

Yes that my bike, just got it last fall. Replaced a 2012 Trek Rumblefish Pro (29er). Don’t miss that trek at all. The Rumblefish had trial bike travel with cross country geometry so it really didn’t do anything especially well. The Specialized I got has trail geometry and is so much better at handling the downhills and rough stuff even though it is a hard tail.

Most of the time I’m sure I’d be happy with a good hard tail. There’s just enough downhill bumpy stuff I ride that I really appreciate the extra give. Most of the trails I ride aren’t really mt. bike - just hiking trails up mountains... so it’s 45 minutes up and 10 down. Full suspension is nice for that.
