So I’ve only gotten 2 hits on my used tires (shock, no one wants to buy winter tires in the spring) and both have been scams. I told you about one , but the one I just got is WAY better.
So last week a coworker and I were on our way to a job and he gets a text that read “Hello, am Shelly a friend of my daughter (Tracy) sent your post on ksl to me whats your final price for the camera?”
He was selling a lens on the local classifieds but smelled a scam.
He responded back with “is this the item you were looking for? [shortened blind link for a GIS search for “Giant Dildo”]
And that was the end of that. I thought that was a bit harsh because it wasn’t obviously a scam to me...you know just MAYBE some poor mother got a screen full of dildo unnecessarily. Now I don’t feel so bad.
I just got a text that read
“Hello, am Shelly a friend of my daughter (Tracy) sent your post on ksl to me whats your final price for the wheels and tires?”
To which I responded
“Hi Shelly, I think your friend tracy helped you find my friend the other day too, she sure is shopping for some diverse things...hows that giant dildo working out for you?”
Then number blocked. I feel much better.

That’s a great response. That’s what I will use from hear on out. With scamming being what it is on CL, anyone who doesn’t write a good, sincere message out of the gate earns whatever response they receive.
And if the dildo is too strong for you, you could use this:
