I’ve seen this truck a few times around town, it is nice, and 79,000 miles is low. And it’s a Zr-2, which I’m guessing gets you a stiffer/taller suspension, those sweet fender flares, and some skid plates? The ladder rack is nice too. But still 10 grand for a Sonoma? That seems kinda crazy to me.That’s like first gen Tacoma money.

Even with the super low miles I’m going to definitely call this a CP. I would think more in the $6000-7500 depending on the options on the truck.

I saw similar trucks to this going for close to 15k when I was shopping. Granted this isn’t in QUITE as nice shape but it’s close. It’s definitely been well used, but it looks well taken care of as well.

Pending a closer look, I’d say NP at 9k, if it stands up to closer inspection NP at the stated 10k. Also take into consideration that rack, that thing is worth a good chunk of change too just on its own if you wanted to get rid of it.

That’s about where I’m at too. The only thing it had going for it, is it’s the only 4x4 S10/Sonoma north of Chicago that isn’t 50% rust. But you can buy a rusty one with 150,000 miles for 1500 bucks.

I did find a clean 4 door ZR-5 Sonoma for 5400 , with 110,000 miles. That was the most comparable thing I found.

CP unless that bed liner they added to the lower rockers is NOT covering some good ‘ol Wisconsin GM rust.

I’ve seen it up close, it’s not Bed liner it’s actually painted, and no noticeable bubbles down there.

Enhance... enhance.... oh, I see now. Y’know, I think my S-10 ZR-2 model kit came with decals like those.

Also forgot to mention I’m in Canada. So that was 15k Canadian I saw them at. It was back when CAD/USD were fairly close, but I just thought I’d mention it.

I love these, but that’s a definite CP price.

In my almost 8 month search for a small pickup. I found that all of the ones that you would actually want to buy are overpriced, regardless of make. As you said the Taco is king, but the Ranger I just bought was the first time (in 14 vehicles) that I have paid over “book” value (NADA, edmunds.....).

At first I was not going to buy what I deemed to be an “overpriced truck”. Then I had to re consider as all of the trucks that I wanted sold...either before I got there or shortly after I passed on it.

CP. This is a $7000 truck in mint condition.

These haven’t been worth five figures for about 7 years.

CP. This shouldn’t be more that 6/7

If something repeatedly sells for a certain price, the item is “worth that price”, no? In that case one of these in good condition has been worth 5k deep into the 5-figure range within the last 3 years.

Not saying THIS particular one is, but S10's in good condition are few and far between, and loaded ones like this even more so.

Maybe my regional market is far different then (Midwest), but I’ve had my ‘03 ZR2 for 11 years so naturally I pay attention to them, their pricing on the market, etc. A last-year ZR2 pickup (‘03) hasn’t been a $15k truck for nearly ten years, let alone within the last three, no matter how rust-free and optioned out.

Anyone who has listed one for such price post-2010 is dreaming, and anyone who has paid that much deserves to have wasted their money.

They’re good trucks, but they just aren’t worth much anymore.

I’m in Toronto, there’s a dealer that only seems to accept the very best. Had some absolutely MINT trucks. One of them in the rust-smitten hole that is Ontario gets some attention.

Though come to think of it they may have been ZR5 crew cabs, not ZR2's. Either way there were S10's selling for 15k here, at least.

Ah, Canada. That makes a bit more sense then with the pricing.

A little, yes, but the dollar was relatively even when I was shopping so it would be a lot closer than it is now.
