My family has had this Acura for about 9 years, first my dad drove it, then gifted it to my sister for her to drive for a couple of years. Sister just bought a new car (2015 Acura RDX), dealer offered her $700 for the TL-S as a trade in. Told them I could probably do better. Ad.
If (when) I sell it, I’ll have successfully sold every car my family has owned between from when I was 8 until now (sold family’s expedition and my moms new beetle, as well as my grandmas first gen Prius). Hooray forbeing the used car salesman of the family!

Good ad, Tells exactly the history of the car and is upfront about the details about the car. The only thing I would add if you know when the timing belt and Water Pump were done. That is a ~$1000 dollar service that a decent amount of the community and your target audience knows/worries about.
And with that the main hold back for the car is not exactly the mileage but the transmission. These gen TLs are known for Transmission woes. The engines are great even if its barely maintained which is sad that the weak link is the trans. Some of your audience will know and try to haggle you out of it, typical line “it needs a trans, ill give you $1k”.
Now im not trying to be mean or take down your hopes, just trying to be honest and realistic about CL buyers. You could get a buyer who doesnt care and gives you full but between that youll get a bunch of emails phishing to get a deal

Yea I know the trans issues will drive down price. I usually post high when I sell cars and let people come in and cut me at the knees. In this case, with $700 being the benchmark for it’s value, I think I can let it go pretty low. Honestly don’t know if/when the water pump and timing belt were done, it’s never really been my car and my family doesn’t keep paper service records, or if they do, I dont have them right now.

Mismatched headlight is a huge red flag for me. Tells me one had to be replaced sooner than the other. Common cause for this includes an accident.
Potential buyers may pick up on this.

That’d be my only reservation. The engine will go on forever.
A friend of mine bought a new Accord V6 in 2003 (same powertrain as this, I think). At 60K or so, it puked a transmission - he had an extended warranty. Complete replacement by Honda, bills were nearly 10K, I think. He kept the car until 170K or so, never failed again, but it never felt quite right either.

My mom has had a Camry for 8 years, one light clouds up a little while the other looks new. Unless there’s something I don’t know, it hasn’t been replaced. I clean it every time I visit. I think it just happens, iffy batch of plastic.

If you were closer I’d buy it for like $1250 but lo, were a couple thousand miles away from each other.
