!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Good build ruined by a douchepuddle commentary. Whats “fit a transmission on backward?” The SVX came in 4WD and FWD variants; all this is a FWD SVX engine shoved into the Midship/MR position.

It’s also mid-engine, not rear-engine.

Not his car, just an uninformed vlogger/reviewer who proabably got eight basic facts about the build and filled in the rest.

Yeah Thatdudeinblue is one of the cartubers I avoid because he’s kind of a knob. The car was really cool, but this video skimmed over the really interesting stuff.

I really how he was surprised it didn’t handle like a Honda, and said it was basically a 911 even though its MR.

As a former Corvair owner, I cut people slack with the whole MR vs R classifications. After all, there are a bunch of mid-front engined vehicles out there that everyone refers to as front engined, my Wrangler being one of them.

I think there are only three configurations.

Front

Mid

Rear

Yes, you can have some rear-biased front engine placement people like calling “font-mid” but that’s a technicality.

I have a car that’s “front-mid” but I just refer to it as “front.”

Rear and mid are too different for me to lump together.

I’d really rather hear from the (clearly lunatic) builders than some rando vlogger

he seems to miss the whole REASON to use an insight, they are made of aluminium

I agree. I would rather listen to a rambling, broken explanation of the build from the guys that built it.

they’d be all excited and overly technical and point out the coolest things like how one nut took an hour to get on. and it’d be great

“One thing other than the backwards rear placement that makes this engine unique is that it’s water, and air cooled (points to exposed radiator).”
