A6 BiTDi Competition? It clearly misses the pumped fenders and exhausts of the RS6, and that is the only non-(R)S availible in Nardo Grey from factory.

Assuming it’s the big diesel the Audi is allowed to tow 2100 kg. The Porsche is about 1500 kg or so. That leaves 600 kg for the trailer. Little margin, if any at all, but it’s definitely not absurd. It saves the owner from having to drive a truck.

Maybe you can find consolation in the fact that it seems to be a diesel A6 BiTDi Competition(Narrower body and different exhausts), with 326hp and 479 lb-ft of torque.

I don’t like it when a car is towed backwards like that. I saw a convertible C5 get the mirrors messed up and top ruined when my friend’s dad towed it 3 states on the interstate. I would hate to think what that huge wing is doing to the air while being towed it must produce some lift.

Towing is different for the Americans. They expect to tow at the general speed limit and so they use a much greater nose weight (downward weight on the hitch) than we would use. I doubt if that Audi would cope with their towing requirements and Americans seeing that picture would assume that it’s dangerous.

It is at the absolute limit, if not above. The towing capacity is 2100 kg and I’d be willing to bet that the loaded trailer is over 4600 lbs.
A wet GT3 RS weighs about 3200 lbs and that trailer weighs at least 1400 lbs.
Regardless of the weight, that set up is clearly too much for the Audi. Maybe a different trailer would mean less weight on the tongue, but the setup in the picture is asking for trouble. The suspension is bottomed out.
In general, it is very very unwise to tow at the absolute maximum weight. If you think that looks acceptable, then please don’t attempt to tow anything by yourself. :)

You should see some of the things I’ve seen....
People who know about these things say your towed weight shouldn’t be above about 85% of the towing vehicle’s weight and also that the noseweight should be about 7% of the towed weight, bearing in mind that the maker will have a maximum downward load which is typically about 70kg so the guy in the picture, whatever about the 85% recommendation, looks to have a lot more than 70kg going on.
Mind you, I’ve never come across anyone who actually went to the trouble of weighing anything...

I see crazy towing attempts all the time as well. Even witnessed a trailer sway hard, causing a jackknife and roll.
