My car is super dirty because we’re in the middle of our second pollen-splosion of the season and my wife had the garage over the weekend. It was already covered in crap yesterday and somehow even worse this morning. I don’t want to wash it just yet because we’ll probably get more pollen and it’s also potentially going to rain a few times this week.

Wouldn’t the rain make the pollen a mess on the car? Although I guess that probably depends on how hard it is raining. The craziest pollen I ever saw was in Charlotte, NC — parked the rental car at 9, came out at 6 and it was completely covered.

It hadn’t rained for a couple of days and a massive bird bomb had dried onto the side of the bonnet and down the front, along with several others. It rained today, no evidence of any bird bombs what so ever.
So after two weeks since she was last done, all I’ve got to do is rinse and dry the front wheels of brake dust.

Yeah rain will make pollen look like crap, but if I wash the car today the rain will ruin the wash.

Bird crap is the one things that gets me to wash my car asap. I sometimes miss my old Altima that I could just run through a car wash without worrying about anything.

I never use drive through car washes, in fact I’m my neighbours and colleagues car wash.
She is so well sealed that bird bombs don’t harm her at all so I don’t worry about ghosts, clouding or etching of the bird bomb.
It just would be nice to have something to clean a bit more often.
