Man, I want one. $46,120 for a crew cab diesel though. Yikes.

I’m in the same boat. On one hand, I should get a pretty decent payout for my 2015 Sierra SLT (although losing the AC Seats would be rough)

That’s a tough call. What package is that on the Ram? Outdoorsman? Is the winch part of the package? While I don’t particularly like how big half ton trucks are, I have to admit my FILs Ram Big Horn is very nice.

idk .... 49k for a RAM that’d worth 25k in 2 years

That’d be the Power Wagon. The one with locking diffs in solid axles front and rear and winch standard. It also has no options on it to keep the price comparable, but its a lot of truck.

That is a lot of truck. Physically as well as capabilities. I wish they made a version in the 1500 chassis. I have a hard time justifying a 1500, and have little shot at a 2500.

Certainly big, but to get a front solid axle you need the HD frame. If I was going to go back to 4 wheel drive, I’d be getting a TRUCK. I really liked my old solid axle’d Jeeps and gas is cheap after all.

This is a solid axle designed for heavy loads, not necessarily articulation. They’ve tried to mitigate this with the swaybar disconnects, but as far as I know the suspension is basically the same as on the normal 2500. Not to mention the sheer size of it keeps it out of most places where you would want a solid axle.

I will say its still a very nice vehicle, and worth the price. But depending on configuration its between 4' and 5' longer than my current land cruiser. That’s huge.

It’s been live for a few days.

$44k for me, for a Duramax extended cab. (Would prefer a CC long bed if available. I hate trucks with short beds.)

You can probably negotiate the price down on the Ram if you find one that’s been sitting for a while. You’ll need the savings to pay for using double the fuel, as well as for all of the herds of children and other random objects you run over without noticing.
