This weekend whilst I sat in grid waiting for my turn to play, I was informed that my gravel tires are mounted inside-out. I’m glad they told me, as i’d never even have considered it otherwise. But it does certainly explain why there is SO SO SO much mud blasted into every crack of the front subframe & control arms.

In my defense they all came mounted on the wheels when I bought them :/

Wait, if they’re mounted “inside out”, that would just mean that you need to switch which side of the car they’re on.

That would work if it where a directional thread pattern, I think those are asymmetrical tires, which have an inside and an outside

they have both a left and right side specific tread, plus an inside/outside specific. I knew the left/right mattered but no clue inside/out was a thing.

Don’t feel bad, I mounted snows on our field car by myself, and one of them got out on backwards. But only one.
