Had a nice little drive with my friend and his 991 Carrera GTS. Ended up in downtown Palo Alto for tea.

Is owning a 355 as amazing as I imagine it would be? It’s low-key my semi-attainable dream car(who wouldn’t love to have a 250 or a Gullwing but if 355s don’t decide to shoot up in value it’s not totally out of reach).

It’s amazing as long as you own it with the right mindset (and of course the right budget).
This will not always be a jump-in-and-drive car like a late-model Porsche is. Things will break, and they will be expensive. You generally can’t escape a random part failure for under four figures, and of course there is the major service which runs $7-15k.
Once all the factory design flaws have been fixed with upgraded parts, the car can become reasonably reliable.

I mean I would never seriously entertain the idea unless I could easily afford the purchase price and thus be in a good position to afford upkeep. I graduate college in a week with a comp sci degree and I’m still looking for a job so who knows what direction the future takes me haha.
Kudos though, awesome taste in a car. I think they’re one of the prettiest cars Ferrari has made in a long time and right in the sweet spot between old-school and modern.
