They built that section for MotoGP to keep the speeds down. Not sure why the Indycars run it.

That’s unfortunate, my favourite bit about this track in Forza 4 was the final bit of road section leading onto the oval and trying to get that part right so that you get maximum speed into the banked turn and the pit straight.

Too bad the final corners are now essentially a big chicane

The banking has not been used since F1 left in 2007. It makes zero sense that Indycar doesn’t use it but then again, everything they do at IMS doesn’t make sense and/or they wait way too late to make changes.
