I like both it and the F-150 next to it.

My dad had one of these, just like this one. 1986 in black. Even after having driven/owning so many other Mustangs he still says he misses the SVO the most. I genuinely wonder what he would think of one now. He can’t even look at my 03 without saying the clutch is way to heavy.

And I can’t remember last time I saw one in that kind of shape, wow.

Such cool cars. Beyond the turbo you got some other cool pieces, like the Lear seats, Koni struts, 5 lugs, disc brakes and the only 16" wheels on an American car besides the Corvette. It was the only fox Mustang with rear discs until the ‘93 Cobra and the only one that ever got 5 lugs. Also, the tail lights were brought back for the ‘93 Cobra. I’m a fox nerd and SVO’s get me in the feels.

I think that is the difference I usually say to some people. That when the new mustang gets its turbocharger inline-4 but puts ECOnomy in the engine name. But the older turbo mustang was done with a performance idea in mind and didn’t try to pass it off like a lower sports car.

Should have just gave a slightly different look or named it 2017 Mustang SVO Nuevo or some other name instead of making it seem like a less than ponycar to the uninitiated.
