Yeah I really need to drive a 911 to compare. I have only driven a regular Cayman and loved it. My opinion otherwise is just based off of reviews and knowing what I like. But I know driving a 911 could certainly convince me to say nah, I dont care this is fucking awesome and I want one!
I think the biggest allure to me about the 911 is looking at older cars, especially the air cooled ones. But the newer ones are a bit more bloated.

Air cooler cars are the dream, but prices are so insane that the water coolers, particularly the 997, have started to look good. The 997 really is a nice car. Not as raw as the air cooled cars, but damn nice. The Cayman is a better drive, truthfully, but there’s something special about the way 911s dance.

What do you think the odds are of a factory plaid interior truck in the next four years or so? I about shat my pants at the $3240 estimate I got to redo my truck’s rocker panel ... so it looks like I’ll be needing a new truck when we get my wife’s CX-5 paid off.

I think I definitely want to try out a 911 on Turo sometime. Problem is my girlfriend says “we already rented a porsche, they look the same, what is the difference?”. I chuckle at that since it is actually hard to explain to her lol.

I really wish I had been able to buy the 996 I almost did before my GTO. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Goat, but to drive a 911 with ski racks is a dream.
