So, I have no fucking clue what kind of vehicle I want. Here’s my list of shit that I want in a vehicle. Please help.
Things I Want
4x4
V8 if available, if there is a V8 available. I require that.
Needs to be able to tow a 20 foot boat
Manual if possible
Needs to have under 120,000 miles on it
Needs to be under $24,000 so I don’t have to finance out the ass
Needs ground clearance NO WAGONS
Must be 2007 or newer
Needs to seat four adults comfortably
Needs to have plenty of space for coolers/camping gear/fishing gear. I do a lot of outdoorsy shit and need me space.
Needs to have some options Ex: TRD, Z71
A reverse camera, (I spend my time split between rural Virginia and Washington DC, parking will get interesting.)
Needs to not break a lot

Go for the XTerra, in Pro-4X trim. A nice one will leave you with enough left in the budget for decent speakers and a touchscreen head unit with a backup camera for rather good sound quality.

I just can’t stand the interiors. They’re like plastic dungeons from 2005. Also not a huge fan of the styling. I appreciate their capability, but not the execution.

They don’t fit four adults comfortably though (unless the folks in the back are amputees). If Nissan could have gotten away with making it a two-door, it definitely should have been. They do have manual available though! The 4x4 is electronically actuated (post-2005) so you can only row so much.

Manual: Nope.
Under 120,000 miles: Check.
Under $24,000: Well, you could probably get it under $24,000...
Needs ground clearance: It’s a TrollBlazer.
Must be 2007 or newer: Check.
Four adults comfortably: Check, and I think the Swedes might have actually done the seats, too, so make that VERY comfortably?
Plenty of space: Check.
Some options: All of the options.
Reverse camera: Well, you could retrofit one...
(OK, I’m being facetious, I’ve got no idea what to suggest. But, that does check most of your boxes...)

Fit adults comfortable, V8? I’d still go with a Tundra. I’m 6'4" and even fit reasonably well in the back of a DoubleCab. And the CrewMax just has a crap top of room in the back. You lose out on the manual, but that would be the same for most full size V8 trucks, or at least a difficult find, I would think.
I love my Taco, but fitting 6 footers in the back comfortably is not happening. Even when my 5'2" sister visits, I have to move my seat forward to give her room, and I don’t drive with it all they back to start with.
What about an Avalanche?

The Tundra is just so massive though. My parking spot at work is small, my parking spot at my house is small, all of the streets around here are small. It would be such a damn struggle just to park the thing. Also the horrible gas mileage kinda throws me in a loop about them.
I’ve looked in getting an Avalanche, but I just can’t into the styling. They seem really useful I guess, but there’s just something about them.

Completely agree. I bought a fully optioned out 2015 F150 Lariat FX4 SuperCab (ext cab) with the ecopoop, so much torque, it will accelerate uphill @ 1000 RPM at almost any speed. I drove the Hemi Ram and 5.7 Tundra and the Ford is just better in every mesurable and intangable way. Drive one, you will be sold, look for a Lariat with the 502A and FX4 packages, this gets you most of the goodies

I drive new trucks regularly for work (I work in a shop that does aftermarket leather) and the 3.5EB will roll hard. A few weeks ago I drove an older 5.4 Expedition and then the same week a 14 or 15 with the 3.5 and it was like a whole different world.
There’s a 12 Platinum SuperCrew FX4 in the shop today for a roof repair (factory sunroof issues) and even with 108k hard, Pennsylvania miles, it feels tight as a drum.
Of course, they’re still too expensive for me, but if I were in the market for a full size pickup the Ford would be on top of the list.

May not be a Z71, but the stock suspension is pretty good, and the price leaves room for upgrades. (I don’t know your exact zip code, but I’m sure there are several options around you)
