Seen one similar in coupe form before, but this one is perfection.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Sedan (I love 4 doors!), competition package, no I-Drive, no sunroof, fabric seats, V8, manual. Rare color. Perfection!

Of course it is at Enthusiast Auto. Steep price, but if money were no object this would be a pretty awesome addition to a stable.

Not a steep price actually if the mileage is under 70k. Since they don’t mention it, purposely omitted an up close cluster photo, and knowing them, I will assume it has a 130k miles on it.

My brother in law had this same car, but white. I don’t think he paid much less than EAG’s ask.

Yeah it is fishy. I’ve been a bit skeptical of them in general too….a little too much snoot. And given how they love showing off ALL the details, the fact that they went out of their way to not discuss mileage makes it seem like there is something going on here. If it is a high mileage car it definitely doesn’t show though!

Ironically, those are the exact options I didn’t want. I wanted leather, idrive, and in a color other than red or black.

Yeah it looks like it was well taken care of, and it’s unusual for EAG to stock high milers. If this car had 30k miles on it, they would be asking mid-high $50's.

Agreed, I’ve always preferred the E90. Also it’s more of a sleeper.

Haha yeah the red is a bit flashy, I actually really like the E90s in white. I suppose the lack of I Drive is cool in a simplistic way and given its rarity, but again having it is probably nice on a daily basis especially given the newer generations.

I suppose the difference is between having a car that you’re actually living with vs. something I’m purely dreaming about and not thinking of practical things.

Agreed. In my dreams I will replace my current E30 with an E36 M3 sedan (while prices are still somewhat attainable) to be the toy car, and once my commuter shitbox lease is up I’ll have an E90 M3 sedan for daily duty. Thus completing my collection of M3 sedans for maximum jaloptitude.

Not bad but it has 2 doors too many and is definitely in the wrong color.

Kinja'd!!!

Surprisingly, nope! Actually quite low mileage...and that mileage report is as of 4/28/17.

ETA: of course after I burn a CarFax on it out of curiosity they go and post the mileage.

The mileage is listed on their website, and I just confirmed it with a CarFax: 24,768. Go buy it.

Yeah color is interesting given that it’s uncommon, but other than that it is a bit too flashy. But completely disagree on the doors. Always loved the 4 door M3s over the coupes.

I’ve always appreciated the sedans, but preferred the coupes. So, agree to disagree?

In thinking about it, I don’t see many M cars of any rank in red. I guess it is uncommon.

I really like the white as well. It was the color I was after, and almost bought one in that color.

You’re right about the idrive being nicer to live with.

Weird, I’m shopping for an e90m3 right now. I wasn’t planning on spending that much though. I saw a red with black accents and tan interior at Carmax a while back and fell in love.

Tan interiors are a weakness of mine. Are you going CPO/CarMax warranty? When it’s time for my next car if I’m lucky enough to be able to afford an E90 M3 the risk of prohibitively expensive repairs would be the main concern I’d need to get over.

EAG: Single handedly driving up the price of used M3s. I guess i shouldnt complain, they help the value of mine.

Seriously. They seemingly buy up every single car that is the cream of the crop and charge whatever the hell they want for it. I guess that has an effect of rising all boats for the rest of the cars too?

I keep going back and forth. I drive only around 3k a year and you can save something near $7k between the carmax premium and warranty costs if you go private party. We’ll see.

Same here. Drive very few miles and it would be the 3 rd car in the household, so if it’s in the shop for a few days a year it won’t be the end of the world. However it’d be easier to budget for (and get ahem the wife’s seal of approval) to just save up the money for car + warranty and then have a worry-free experience, than to buy car and then have all kinds of expensive dealership visits and thousands draining from the bank account. Paying up front might be worth the cost just from a risk aversion perspective.
