Kinja'd!!!

I go venturing on the Craigslist and suddenly a wild Corvair convertible appears. Let the battle of wants begin!

Kinja'd!!!

It attacks with a nice $500 price tag. You fight back with seized engine, missing interior and holes in the top. It responds with just a bit of dirt and rust. You attempt to capture it and realize you don’t have any PokeBalls or Room on Bill’s PC to store it.

Ad preserved below

1965 Chevy Corvair Monza Convertible

Clear title.

Push-button automatic shifter on the dash.

Does not run and, as you can see from the photos, needs work. Would be a fun project car for a Corvair enthusiast!

I pulled the engine in mine in about an hour and a half solo. With no guidance. Not rushing. It really isn’t hard at all. Just be careful when checking rust around the running boards and that general area. 95/PG and 110/PG combos are pretty easy to find replacement drivetrains for.

yeah, I have heard the engines on these are pretty easy to work on, and it is not like there isn’t enough room to do things.

I don’t have an interior place to store it so the remaining part of the interior would get wrecked because of the torn top.

Wow, that Corvair is pretty much intact! It actually doesn’t cost that much to get the engine running again from what I hear. There was even an episode of Wheeler Dealers that completely restored a ‘63 Spyder, though that’s a full restoration.

You can probably just strip the paint, primer it, and rebuild the engine, since I hear it’s not much more complicated than other air-cooled engines.

The exterior looks really good minus the top. The interior is where I would focus first after the engine. Unfortunately, I don’t have any interior storage or else I would probably be taking a look at it.
