I got a text from my best pal this morning (obviously meant for his girlfriend) which said, “Love you, and hope you have a fantastic day!” I laughed and responded “love you too, bro. I hope you have a great day too!” It was an honest response although a humorous one, but the next text that I received from him really drove it home. It read:
“BTW we’ve got 7 seats to Formula 1 this year so figure it out.”
*Me about an hour ago, and kind of now.
We went in 2013 and stayed with his uncle in Austin. I took upon myself to re program their TV remote so that the volume buttons worked, annnnnnd I’ve been part of the family ever since haha.
Any other Oppos planning on going to the USGP this year?

One of my wife’s cousins (one of the good ones—she also has some real asshole cousins) lives in Austin and we’ve talked over the years about visiting them. But the cheapest 3-day bleacher seats are $275 each and I don’t think I could realistically get my wife to sit around at an F1 race and enjoy herself. Sure the turbo motors aren’t as loud as the old 2.4 liter NA V8s when I went to the one in Indy in 2006, but I’m sure they’re still way louder than she’ll want to put up with.

Yea, I’ve not been to F1 since the V8's but they were soooo loud, it’s the thing I remember the most. Our ladies probably wont even go to the racetrack, plenty to do in Austin haha.

Yeah something that fun would never happen in Boston anyway. Bunch of killjoys. We can’t even fix the worst highway interchange in the US. But we can dig a leaky tunnel over 25 years!

Hah that’s awesome! Both of us had girlfriends in 2013, so no sex. However we did go to a wompwomp show “Flux Pavillion” I believe. Took the mollys and went nuts for a few hours then excitedly walked 6 miles home at 4am.
